Charles H. Best Postdoctoral Fellowships are available for qualified PhD graduates (2 years or less postgraduate) in the field of molecular, genetic and genomic research. Applicants must address their applications to members of the Banting and Best Department of Medical Research (Andrews, Bader, Blencowe, Boone, Brudno, Emili, Fraser, Frey, Greenblatt, Hughes, Kim, Krause, MacLennan, Moffat, Morris, Nislow, Ryu, Sidhu, Wheeler, Zhang) at the University of Toronto. Individual research programs include studies on gene expression, signal transduction, development, membrane transport and functional genomics, and are carried out in the new, state of the art Donnelly Centre: http://www.thedonnellycentre.utoronto.ca/faculty/principal_investigators.htm
Applications should be addressed to one or two of the department members listed above whose interests match their own. Upon agreement of sponsorship, the applicant must send curriculum vitae, transcripts and three letters of reference to their sponsoring Faculty mentor. The deadline for completed applications is December 17th, 2010. Successful applicants will be supported for two years with a generous stipend.
